Omega 3 fatty acids are considered fatty acids essential to the human body. We are unable to synthesize Omega 3 fatty acids ourselves and must obtain them through external sources, such as fish and other marine oils, flaxseed and other plant oils. Omega 3 fatty acid supplements have long been available in grocery stores and pharmacies.

The scientific question Oceans Omega has sought to answer is how to insert high concentrations of Omega 3 fatty acids into foods and beverages in an oxidatively stable form. What Oceans Omega has been able to accomplish is the creation of a liquid emulsion containing concentrated Omega 3 fatty acids that does not require refrigeration or freezing, can last up to an entire year in an oxidatively stable form, and can be stored at room temperature.

Oceans Omega is attacking the marketplace through the most difficult of products: water. Oceans Omega’s liquid emulsions use a nanotech delivery system to solve the longstanding technical problem that oily omega 3 fatty acids and water simply do not mix well.

In addition, the Omega 3 fatty acids used by Oceans Omega are derived from eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), the forms that the body naturally absorbs. The extraction and purification process Oceans Omega uses separates out all proteins, allergens, and heavy metals from the starting material. What this means is that you are able to enjoy the benefits of the liquid emulsion whether or not you have an allergy to fish.
